    I am saving this video for those days my grandchildren visit and the weather is not good for them to play outside. We will watch the video together and work together in the kitchen, THEN we will enjoy our hot treats . These are the memories my sisters and I have when Grandma visited and she and Mother worked in the kitchen together. We either just watched as our mouths watered in anticipation, or we helped. Great memories to share with our children and grandchildren as these lovely ladies are no longer here.

    Honestly, I made fritters when I was 16 that looked better than those did. Yours may taste better but mine were prettier. Plus they were much less work. Just sayin... Maybe the old southern recipe I used was how they are supposed to look and taste. I have always considered apple fritters a southern thing. I could be very wrong.

    Oh my goodness! These look scrumptious, but this certtainly looks like a LOT of work... Before I contemplate making these, I'm going to have to think about who I know that is "fritter-worthy" (besides myself, if I'm going to go to all this work!).     As god as my witness I thought they used scraps. I love apple fritters and kind of thought that they would make the glazed donuts, then you have holes, then you have the scraps. I figured that they chopped the dough up and mashed it with apple bits. Well, I have no problem paying the $5 for a good fritter now!
