EASY CARE HOUSEPLANTS FOR BEGINNERS

  • Yayınlanma Tarihi:  1 ay önce
  • We all have to start someplace when it comes to incorporating houseplants into our lives. It might feel daunting, or even a little scary, but starting with easy care plants helps ease you into living in harmony with indoor plants. I have lived with all but two of these easy care houseplants and can confidently say that they will grow and thrive if you give them the basic care they need. If you are in a hurry I have listed the plants below along with the timecode. This is really just a basic video for people who want to get the short list of very easy indoor houseplants, or are thinking about giving a plant as a gift to someone who is new to plants. 1:48 ZZ Plant (Zamioculcus zamifolia) 2:22 Snake Plant (Sansevieria sp.) 2:52 Pothos and Philodendron vining varieties including Philodendron cordatum, Brasil, micans, Scindapsus pictus, and Epipremnum aureum 3:34 Peperomia obtusifolia, clusifolia, argyreia, Rana Verde and Ruby Cascade 3:56 Succulent genus including Echeveria and Hawarthia 4:29 Cactus any type 5:30 Money Plant (Pachira aquatica) 6:07 Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) 6:46 Jade (Crassula ovata 7:01 Cast Iron Plant (Aspidistra sp.) 7:22 Dracaena sp. 7:50 Rubber Tree (Ficus elastica) 8:22 Hoya sp. Thank you all so much for all of the wonderful comments and extremely sweet feedback and suggestions. I feel so lucky to be a part of this knowledgable and accepting group.

@planterina you should be honest when talking about hoyas, however. Once you dabble, it’s easy to trigger a full blown addiction! 😉

I have a snake plant but the way my apartment is set up we get sunlight in my mom bedroom and my plant is in the living room where hardly any sunlight enters, my question is with indoor light is it sufficient enough for it to live? Or should I once in a while put it on sunlight ?

Which of these plants do you think can live without water in a dry climate for 1-2 weeks? I'm worried about who I can leave alone while I go on vacations in the summer.

I am so into your channel! I bought two small beginner plants today and wanted to see where I would go next since I have some gorgeous pots that need to be filled and you're channel is amazing. I love how honest you are and your humor is great! I was not blessed with a green thumb and appreciate your knowledge. Thank you for the awesome content!

Super super cute video! I had a Rabbit's Foot Fern (devallia fejeensis fern) and some people actually hated being in the same room with it due to it's furry rhizomes that look like tarantula legs haha!. I guess that is arachnophobia/ botanophobia. I loved that darlin little plant.

being a UI designer, i can feel how much efforts u put in your videos, it's so cool ... i killed my plants by overwatering 2-3 years ago and i stopped planting for a while, may be i suffered botanophobia :D ... but now i have lot of plants and i think once u start connecting with them, u just know when they need water, i go to see them and i can just feel which plant need water...

I remember feeling botanaphobia in an arboretum in Hawaii. Those plants are powerful. I'm from the desert so that was the first time for me being surrounded by humungous plants with leaves as big as me. I felt like they could just swallow me up!😂😂 I have a lot of respect for those plants.
